Pavia e Ansaldo, ratio restructuring and ey lead the Edom Group into insolvecy procedure

Milan, 2 March 2016 – The Local Court of Rome admitted Gruppo Edom SpA, owner of the “Trony” retail stores in Rome, to a composition procedure with continuing business operations (concordato preventive in pura continuità aziendale).

If the majority of the creditors’ approve the composition proposal, the company’s overall debt of today approximately EUR 200 Million will be reduced significantly while the business activity can continue (protecting also the 250 employees) also with a view to potential sales and mergers.

Pavia e Ansaldo with Partner Alberto Bianco and Senior Associate Maria Chiara Puglisi assisted the company with the legal aspects of the restructuring procedure.

The industrial plan and financial restructuring were developed by Ratio Restructuring, specialists in debt restructuring, with Senior Partner Barbara Bartolini, who also coordinated all the consultants involved in the procedure.

The tax aspects were cured by Studio Legale Tributario EY, with Partners Maria Antonietta Biscozzi, Paolo Zucca and Paola Lumini.

Following the decree which authorized the procedure, the Local Court of Rome appointed a team of Commissioners composed by Prof. Giorgio Lener and Dott. Marco Costantini.
