Pavia e Ansaldo grows in strategic areas: Massimiliano Elia and Milena Prisco appointed Partners


Milan, 15 December 2022 – The law firm Pavia e Ansaldo announces the appointment of two new Partners, Massimiliano Elia and Milena Prisco, formerly Of Counsel of the firm.

The two professionals work respectively in the Turin and Milan offices of Pavia and Ansaldo.


Lawyer Massimiliano Elia, who already leads the Turin office of Pavia and Ansaldo since its opening in 2021, is active in the Banking and Finance, M&A, Private Equity, Litigation and Arbitration and Capital Market departments. Massimiliano has gained significant experience in finance and insurance matters, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions and structured finance transactions. In the litigation area, he provides judicial assistance on structured finance, capital and debt market matters for banks, public entities, companies and individuals and is frequently appointed as an arbitrator, including as Chairman. He is the author of several publications, including the ‘Compendium on Derivative Contracts’ and ‘Reference Practices in Banking and Finance’. He is a member of the International Bar Association.


Lawyer Milena Prisco, the Firm’s ESG manager, works in the M&A and Compliance departments. Milena has a long-standing experience in M&A and over the years has specialised in extraordinary transactions in high tech sectors such as fintech, AI, healthcare and fashiotech, thanks to a long and consolidated experience in Venture Capital assisting funds, scale-ups and listed companies in Corporate VC transactions. In the ESG field, Milena assists listed companies and SMEs in relation to corporate governance policies, capital companies in acquiring the status of benefit companies, investment funds in ESG policies in investment processes, performs ESG due diligence in extraordinary transactions and in the context of sustainability strategies. Milena Prisco is a lecturer in numerous masters and seminars in Italy and abroad as well as author of articles in leading Italian and foreign legal and financial publications, and publications on corporate law, venture capital, ESG; she is co-author of the book “IPO Sostenibile – Linee Guida per la raccolta di capitali delle PMI” (Sustainable IPO – Guidelines for raising capital for SMEs). A member of the International Bar Association, she is also actively involved in pro-bono mentoring and women’s empowerment programmes in various associations dealing with gender equality.


With the new appointments, Pavia e Ansaldo brings the number of partners to 36, proceeding with the enhancement of its professionals and strengthening its position as a firm with a deep-rooted multidisciplinary approach.
