Meritxell Roca Ortega joined Pavia e Ansaldo in 1996 in the Milan office. Partner since 2009 and member of the firm’s Board of Directors since 2021. Former President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Italy (1999-2008) and speaker member of the International Bar Association (IBA). With +25 years of proven practice in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, commercial agreements, and corporate transactions, she is active in cross-border transactions involving Italy and Spain as she is qualified to practice in both jurisdictions.

Her broad portfolio includes assistance to numerous international and multinational companies and private equity funds in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, energy and real estate.

In addition to her practice in Italy, she co-heads Pavia e Ansaldo’s M&A, PE and Corporate departments and she heads the firm’s offices in Barcelona (opened in 2016) and Madrid (2023).

In February 2024, she was ranked by TTR as one of the top 10 lawyers in Spain for M&A transactions in the real estate sector. In November 2024, she was included in the 17^th edition of The Best Lawyers in Spain for her work in commercial law and M&A.
