Law firms in the birth of Excellera Advisory Group

 

Milan, November  18, 2022  – Cattaneo Zanetto & Co., a firm active in government affairs services, and Community, a group dedicated to communication and reputation management, announce today that they have joined forces, creating the holding company Excellera Advisory Group.

 

Thanks to the financial and strategic support of Xenon Private Equity, this agreement is the first step toward the creation of a broader aggregation of professional entities to compete in Europe as well.

 

Excellera Advisory Group will be able to count on an aggregate turnover of more than 25 million euros in 2022, which puts it at the top of the industry in Italy, and a staff of 140 professionals divided among the offices in Rome, Milan, Treviso and Brussels. Today the Group serves more than 300 clients, including national and global leaders in finance, industry, energy, healthcare, infrastructure, media and telecommunications, retail, platform economy, as well as non-profit companies, public entities, and trade associations.

 

Alberto Cattaneo, Claudia Pomposo and Paolo Zanetto for Cattaneo Zanetto & Co. will reinvest equally in the holding company and maintain their positions in the company. Auro Palomba will remain CEO of Community and, together with Giuliano Pasini, Roberto Patriarca, Marco Rubino, Giovanna Benvenuti and Pasquo Cicchini, grouped in Always On, will reinvest in the holding company.

The Xenon team that worked on the transaction consists of CEO Franco Prestigiacomo, of Partners Gianfranco Piras, who will also serve as chairman of Excellera, Giorgio Pastorelli and Director Francesco Banfi.

 

Xenon was assisted by Pavia and Ansaldo with a team composed of partner Giuseppe Besozzi, associate Martina Villa and trainee Luca Cabato. Partner Valentina Simonelli handled the labour law aspects.

 

The partners of Cattaneo Zanetto & Co. were assisted by PwC TLS with a team composed of co-managing partner Giovanni Stefanin, director Riccardo Lonardi, director Pietro Bertolotti, director Ivan Arrotta, senior manager Laura Colombo and associate Filippo Piana for legal, tax and labour law aspects related to the shareholding sale and reinvestment transaction, while Auro Palomba and Community partners were assisted by Bonelli Erede with a team led by partners Claudio Tesauro and Silvia Romanelli and composed of associates Isidoro Pietro Livia and Vincenzo Antonelli. Partner Vittorio Pomarici and associate Alessia Varesi handled the labour law aspects.

 

Banco BPM, Banca Ifis and Banca Sella financed the transaction and were assisted by Dentons with a team composed of partner Alessandro Fosco Fagotto, counsel Tommaso Zanirato and associate Jacopo Bennardi.
